City becomes the latest municipality to partner with the fast-growing healthcare company.
INDIANAPOLIS (January 29, 2018) – OurHealth today announces a new partnership with the City of Fishers that will provide its more than 450 employees with high-quality and convenient primary care, along with a series of wellness programs.
The partnership also introduces a seventh OurHealth MyClinic location in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area. The MyClinic network is an industry first, making it easier for patients to access primary clinics close to both home and work.
“We were attracted by the innovative approach OurHealth takes to customize its healthcare service for individual clients and for their proven record of positively impacting patient health,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “The OurHealth team has an entrepreneurial drive, and we see them as the latest innovator to join our community.”
Rather than simply offering a one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare, OurHealth leverages technology and data to learn each clients’ challenges and tailors programming to optimize results. Healthcare providers are empowered to spend quality time with each patient, which further enhances individualized treatment plans and results in greater patient success.
In 2017 alone, OurHealth patients lost a combined 33,000 pounds, 76,000 points of bad cholesterol and 2,000 points on A1c levels, which is the leading indicator for diabetes.
“The City of Fishers has one of the most successful growth stories in the country, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to serve their dedicated employees and become an active member of the Fishers business community,” said Ben Evans, CEO and co-founder of OurHealth.
The Fishers clinic is expected to open in March in the Meyer Najem building at 11787 Lantern Rd. Six other OurHealth MyClinics are located in downtown Indianapolis, Greenwood, and Plainfield, as well as locations near 96th Street & Keystone Avenue, 86th Street & Zionsville Road and Washington Square.
OurHealth customers see an average savings of 20 percent on healthcare costs, mostly in the form of reduced emergency room visits, savings on specialty referrals, and reduced lab and medication costs. Its growing roster of clients includes OneAmerica, Genesys (formerly Interactive Intelligence), Ice Miller LLP, the Indianapolis Airport Authority, the City of Indianapolis, and the City of Charlotte.
OurHealth was founded in 2009 to solve three problems in the healthcare system: lack of access, poor health outcomes and unaffordable cost escalation for employees and employers. In June 2017, the company announced a $37 million fundraising round, which will be used to invest in marketing, sales, and technology. Headquartered in Indianapolis, OurHealth recently expanded into North Carolina. Further market expansion is planned this year.
