Caring Place Healthcare Group Joins OurHealth’s Cincinnati MyClinic Network

Senior living provider is the latest company to offer near-site primary care

CINCINNATI (August 1, 2019) – OurHealth, the nation’s leading provider of near-site primary care clinics for employers, today announces a partnership with Caring Place Healthcare Group.

OurHealth will provide a full suite of primary care services, including wellness screens, physicals, acute care and health coaching for the company’s 230 medical plan-enrolled employees and their covered dependents. Based in Cincinnati, Caring Place Healthcare Group operates six healthcare centers across the greater Cincinnati area specializing in short-term rehab, nursing care, Alzheimer’s care, senior living and other senior health services.

OurHealth entered the Cincinnati market in early 2019 with the launch of its Cincinnati MyClinic network, which includes MyClinic locations in Springdale, The Shoppes at Kings Mills and at Fourth and Main Streets in downtown Cincinnati. A fourth MyClinic location will open this fall in Green Township.

The MyClinic network significantly lowers the barrier to entry by allowing employers to gain immediate access to a network of primary care clinics that are conveniently located within a 10-minute drive of the employee’s home or office.

Caring Place Healthcare Group adds to OurHealth’s growing presence in the Cincinnati area. In April, OurHealth announced a partnership with Hamilton County, Ohio. Other Cincinnati clients include First Financial Bank, Rumpke and ADVICS.

“As a healthcare provider, we strive to help our residents live active and healthy lifestyles, so it makes perfect sense that we offer exceptional health benefits for our staff,” says Chase Kohn, Caring Place COO. “OurHealth is a great fit for our company and we couldn’t be more excited to offer this benefit.”

Employers are attracted to OurHealth’s model for three key reasons — improved access to care for their employees and their dependents, independence from any hospital system or network allowing for unbiased referrals and robust reporting capabilities that allow business owners to easily understand their return on investment.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Caring Place to our Cincinnati MyClinic network,” said Ben Evans, OurHealth CEO and co-founder. “We’re confident they’ll love the experience, and we can’t wait to make an immediate impact on their employees’ health, and of course their bottom line.”

OurHealth is on a mission to save employers $1 billion in healthcare costs, and to date has saved its clients more than $160 million. The company takes a patient-focused approach to care, including waiting room times of less than five minutes, appointments that average 20 to 40 minutes and a patient satisfaction score of 98 percent.

In 2018, OurHealth patients lost a combined 40,000 pounds and 32,000 points of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol. OurHealth clients enjoy an average savings of 17 percent on health plan costs through better management of chronic conditions, ER avoidance and reduced lab and drug costs. OurHealth clients include a wide range of employers of all sizes and industries, including the City of Indianapolis, Anthem, Harris Teeter, CNO Financial Group and the Indianapolis Airport Authority.

OurHealth adds experienced market leader to accelerate growth in the Southeast

John Leary brings 30 years of healthcare experience, passion for primary care

CHARLOTTE — OurHealth, the nation’s leading provider of near-site primary care clinics, today announces the hire of John Leary as Vice President for the Southeast Region.

Leary joins following an unprecedented year of growth for the healthcare company and is charged with adding to the momentum of establishing OurHealth as the No. 1 employer-sponsored clinic provider in the Carolinas. He brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience, including health systems and plan design, corporate health and wellness, digital wellness and disease management solutions.

I’ve experienced many models for tackling this problem, and no one does it as effectively as OurHealth. I can’t wait to bring our solution to even more employers.”

OurHealth entered the Charlotte market with its industry-first MyClinic network in January 2016 and today has five convenient locations around the city, including Uptown, Tower Place, Northlake, Wilkinson Boulevard and Albemarle Crossing. The company’s client roster includes marquee employers like the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, Belk Department Stores and Harris Teeter.

“Demand for OurHealth has never been stronger, and we’re excited to add someone of John’s caliber to our team in Charlotte,” said OurHealth Chief Revenue Officer Chad Ashcraft. “Local leadership and community investment are core to our company values and growth plans, and I’m confident John will be a great asset in Charlotte and future markets throughout the southeast.”

State of Indiana Opens Onsite Primary Care Clinic at Government Center

Government Center Clinic by OurHealth brings convenient, affordable onsite healthcare to more than 7,500 state employees.

INDIANAPOLIS — Through a partnership with Indianapolis-based OurHealth, the State of Indiana has opened an onsite clinic at the Indiana Government Center. More than 16,000 state employees and their family members live or work nearby. Government Center Clinic by OurHealth, which begins operations today, provides comprehensive primary and immediate care medical services to covered employees and their families.

“Indiana is making great strides to improve quality of life for Hoosiers – and that includes improving access to healthcare,” Gov. Eric J. Holcomb said. “Offering medical care when and where it is most convenient for employees not only makes for a better workplace, it supports overall wellness.”

Founded in 2009, OurHealth provides employer-sponsored onsite and near-site primary care clinics and wellness programming. The company’s primary care model is designed to address three factors – patient access, quantifiable health improvements and overall cost.

The model leverages technology and data to learn unique organizational challenges and inform custom healthcare solutions addressing the needs of each workforce. Each solution embraces the growing body of research confirming more focused time with patients leads to a higher standard of care, and in turn, predictable savings.

Clinic providers are empowered to spend quality time with each patient, which further enhances individualized treatment plans and results in greater patient success.

“OurHealth provides employees and their families with the healthcare they need, when and where they need it, all while saving them and their employers a lot of money,” said OurHealth co-founder and CEO, Ben Evans. “As an Indiana-based company, we’re thrilled to partner with the State of Indiana to improve the health of thousands of Hoosiers while also generating measurable savings for Indiana taxpayers.”

The company currently operates clinics in Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

OurHealth clients enjoy an average savings of 17 percent on health plan costs through better management of chronic conditions, ER avoidance and reduced lab and drug costs. The company’s Indiana clients include a wide range of employers, including CNO Financial Group, Ice Miller, the Indianapolis Airport Authority and the City of Indianapolis.

The onsite clinic is one of several enhancements this year that promote a healthy workforce and reduce healthcare costs while supporting the State’s emphasis on engagement through wellness and clinic services. Onsite and online wellness coaches are now available to covered employees and spouses throughout the state, part of a program that rewards employees with reduced premiums and other incentives when they complete best practices for proactively supporting good health. And the State now offers an interactive online platform, also in conjunction with OurHealth, which engages participants in wellness activities and competitions linked to healthy living and overall wellbeing.

In addition to these benefits, the State is continuing a heightened focus on mental health as a critical component of well-being by increasing employee access and options in 2019 for counseling sessions with licensed therapists under its employee assistance program.
